As a realtor, my number one goal is to effectively support you in the process of buying or selling your home. Which means I want to understand exactly where you are now and where you want to go. By getting to know you, I can tailor your plan to fit your needs so I don’t end up doing more than you ask or less than you need.
So, our first meeting is a get-to-know-you session. What we will cover in it:
1. Communication style. Text, email, phone… you tell me how to best reach you and that’s how we’ll do it. I’m connected to them all and, you can be assured, I’ll always get back to you in a timely manner.
2. The go-to person and decision maker. Having one point person makes it easier for me to relay information to you quickly and easily and helps keep our communication streamlined. Having said that, I’m always happy to talk to all parties involved!
3. Your motivations and goals. By understanding precisely what you want in a home and your long-term goals for your home, I will save both of us a lot of time and running around. And, I’ll be better prepared to show you potential dream homes…
4. Price range and timeline. These are the two biggies - leaving your housing transaction with money in your pocket and getting it done in a timely manner. I understand that money and time drive many of these transactions so I make sure to understand exactly where you are with both.
5. Previous home selling and buying experiences. I want to know the good, the bad, and the ugly. That way we can start with what you would do differently (or do the same) so we’re not reinventing the wheel. And, if you haven’t had previous home buying or selling experience, that is a great place to start, as well!
6. Your concerns and expectations. Buying and selling a home can be a stressful situation, in part because too often people are anxious about the unknown. By hearing about your concerns, I can help alleviate your fears and instead make the process easy, and maybe even, fun.
7. Where you’re coming from and your new needs. Thinking about starting a family? Newly retired and looking to downsize a bit? Buying your first home? Where you are in life and where you are going will play heavily into what type of home you will purchase. The more I understand your needs, the better I can help you find your perfect home.
8. Potential marketing plans. I have a full arsenal of ideas, products and success stories to help you sell your home quickly and easily. Together we’ll determine the best plan for marketing your house, tailored to fit your neighborhood, needs and timeline.
